Now school is back, many students are trying to find a balance of study and social life. I would like to share with you a health tip today. If you’re in college, don’t take your health for granted because nutrition is one of the main factors that contribute to your mood and energy levels. A proper diet that is abundant in veggies, fruits, plant-proteins, and whole grains is key in managing your stress and keeping yourself focused on important assignments. Steer clear of high-fat foods, alcohol, sugars, fast food, and processed foods because poor nutrition can cause weight gain, loss in cognitive function, and physical and mental stress. If you can’t fit time into your daily schedule to exercise, be sure you get some physical activity, even if it’s just a short walk to refuel and unwind after a long day of studying. Consider taking the stairs instead of the elevator and walk around between classes. Getting sufficient rest and sleep is also important. It has been shown that students with poor sleep quality are almost five times more likely to be more stressed compared to those who sleep well. Taking care of your physical and mental health is vital in accomplishing your goals and achieving academic success.

The good mood messenger has delivered us the joke of the day, so let’s check it out. It’s entitled “Clever Kid.”
