FIAPO realizes that the root of most animal welfare issues is humanity’s demand for meat. The organization believes the best way to deal with the barbarism of producing and consuming animals is to boost public adoption of the compassionate lifestyle, namely the plant-based diet. Initiated in April 2013, there are grassroots activists in more than 70 cities, making Living Free the largest vegan advocacy network in India. FIAPO also promotes a unique initiative called the “21 Day Compassion Challenge.” It provides practical guidance on how to help people transition to a vegan way of life, which is the best solution for halting animal suffering.
